European Science Foundation

The European Science Foundation (ESF) is an association of 78 Member Organisations devoted to scientific research in 30 European countries. Since its establishment in 1974, it has coordinated a wide range of pan-European scientific initiatives, and its flexible organisation structure means it can respond quickly to new developments. ESF's core purpose is to promote high quality science at a European level. The Foundation is committed to providing scientific leadership through its networking expertise and by ensuring that there is a European added value to all of its initiatives and projects.

EMBO

EMBO is an organization of more than 1500 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences. The major goals of the organization are to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.
